NATIONALSMany top swimmers from across the UK took part in the Scottish National and Age Group finals at Tollcross, Glasgow from 18 - 22 June 2003. This presented the younger age group the opportunity to see the stars in action close up and in some cases compete with them. It was an excellent few days, made all the more so by some great perfomances by the local South Aberdeenshire Swim Team (SAS) who came second overall in the team competition. Once again Garioch team members played their part and in the Age Group section Hannah Miley took two National titles in the 400m IM and 200m butterfly. In addition to these golds she took silver medals in the 800m free; 400m free; 200m back and 200m IM and bronze in the 100m fly and 200m free. The team relay events are a major contributor to the points totals and Hannah was joined by Garioch team mate Barbara Hockridge in winning the silver medal in the 4x50m Medley relay.
